680 charitable toy & item donations by Shire Woodworking Club in November
The Shire Woodworking Club has been very busy recently preparing for 123 Christmas toys and item donations to local charities and the final year delivery of 557 items to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
This is the 18th year the Club has donated toys at Christmas to Shire Community organisations. This year the club donated 123 items to Sutherland Shire Family Services, John Franklin Christmas Lunch, and Kingsway Community Care.
Total charitable toy & item delivery count for 2016 is 1129
My painted trucks are in the charity donations photo, I didn’t have any for the Children’s hospital this time but will for the next delivery in the new year.
Full details of donations with photos in the December newsletter attached below. In attendance for the presentations were the local Mayor and State Member of Parliament.

I am an accountant who uses woodwork as a way to escape computers. I work in the back half of a tandem garage under the house; effectively a basement that also houses my wife’s car. I have a reasonable set of tools and am getting more into hand tools, mainly due to the lack of noise and dust minimization.
