Finally managed to make it back to the The Cubby House Turners Woodies in Sydney in December (last visited in June) and organised getting the email newsletter. I have created a Cubby House page with older newsletters that will get updated gradually.
This was a purely woodturning club when I joined years ago but after the Shire Woodworking Club moved to separate premises a few years ago the club moved towards general woodworking as well.
They were the Southern Region Woodturners Guild at that time but then departed from the guild and renamed the club.
Still predominately a woodturning club with about 7 lathes they are also active in toy making for local charities. I am a member but have not been involved in the toy making activities.
There are some spectacular turners at the club; you can see some of the objects in the newsletter showing the 2016 maxi day winners.
