Shire Woodworking Club – June 2019 Newsletter posted below.
The visit by the Australian Prime Minister on his was to vote got a big write-up this month; he is the local federal MP though and has visited the club in the past.
The club does well out of elections as the local polling booth is at the school next door; they lost some visibility at the State elections when the school opened the back gate but managed to keep it closed for the Federal election. It helps that a member used to be the maintenance man there!
Another good write-up about the toy donations to the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick with photos. I need to brace up and provide some toys and try and get along to one of the visits myself.
Not a lot at the show and tell but good quality. There has been discussions about the drop off in items; I personally think that the do the show and tell too early as I normally don’t make it for that. I am also not normally the last person to arrive.
