Dyed Stabilised Pen Blanks – interesting results

I bought these blanks over a year ago on Facebook, the first photo is the sale photo and next to it the actual receipt  

 

I do like the labels; it is a small thing but so helpful later on. 

They are stabilised which means soaked in resin and then baked in an oven to cure the wood. Dye is mixed in with the resin and can be used multiple times; the top picture from Facebook is a great example.  

I finally got around to turning these recently and was pleased with the results; i had been a bit skeptical of the colours when I received the package.
