Shire Woodworking Club – August 2018 Newsletter

Shire Woodworking Club – August 2018 Newsletter posted below.

Delivery of 307 items to the therapists at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick on 26 July 2018. I need to one of these deliveries where I have items included; nothing of mine in this one unfortunately.

They have requested space themed toys to be included in the next delivery if possible, I will try and make some space rockets.

Some good books for the library; I borrowed the Animal Puzzles one to try on my new scroll saw.

More stuff about the 20th anniversary from the NSW Legislative Assembly Hansard.

The July Maxi Day included measuring devices so an article on them; interesting to see the old and still valid tools.

A mixed bag of show and tell; the highlight wasn’t me but the two treasure chest boxes made by Robert with great inlays. They looked better f you were there. I showed some dying samples and two pens I made for a competition plus a certificate I received for my entry in the Australian Pen Turners challenge on Facebook; unfortunately I forgot to take the pen along but visible on the certificate
